The PRO PR-40-01 retractable tape measure is a range of measuring tools fitted with two functional brakes — a ratchet brake and a lower brake — available in three variants: 3 m x 16 mm, 5 m x 19 mm and 8 m x 25 mm. The dual-brake system provides greater control over the tape than models with a single brake, which is why the range is well-suited to construction, renovation and assembly work.
In all versions, the ergonomic case is made of TPR, which ensures a high level of comfort during use. The tape features a Class II accuracy scale, and its width increases with length — from 16 mm in the 3-metre version, through 19 mm in the 5-metre version, to 25 mm in the 8-metre version, which ensures adequate tape strength when extended to greater lengths.
The movable, reinforced tape catch compensates for the hook’s own thickness, ensuring an accurate measurement result regardless of the technique used. The shape and markings on the cassette also allow for length measurements to be taken from the rear of the casing — useful in room corners and for objects where there is no space to place a conventional tape measure. Each model features a durable metal belt clip, a clip for nails and screws, and a comfortable rubber wrist strap.
The shorter 3 m x 16 mm version is a compact solution for quick installation measurements. The 5 m x 19 mm model is a versatile choice for everyday work on site and in the workshop, whilst the 8 m x 25 mm version, with its reinforced, wider tape, is designed for measuring larger rooms and structures where a longer reach is required without interrupting the measurement.
The entire PR-40-01 series combines a robust construction with two independent brakes, making it ideal for use by professionals, fitters and DIY enthusiasts, regardless of the scale of the work involved.
