The PRO Milestone retractable tape measure is a range of measuring tools available in 3 m x 16 mm, 5 m x 25 mm and 8 m x 25 mm, which builds on the classic Milestone series by featuring a strong magnet fitted to the tape hook. This allows you to start measuring on steel components independently, without the need for a second person.
The hook is movable, reinforced and secured with three rivets, ensuring the stability of the attachment and an accurate measurement result regardless of the direction of measurement. The tape’s high rigidity ensures a long free-span — up to 50 per cent of the total length — meaning the tape remains straight even when measured by a single person without resting against a surface.
All versions of the tape are coated with a protective nylon layer, which increases resistance to scratches and rust, whilst the scale is manufactured to Class II accuracy. The ergonomic casing features a precision reverse brake that automatically locks the tape as it is extended, eliminating the need to hold the button down manually whilst measuring. The model is also fitted with a buffer to absorb the impact of the tape as it retracts, and a durable metal belt clip.
The shorter 3-metre version is ideal for quick installation measurements, whilst the 5-metre and 8-metre models, with their reinforced, wider 25 mm tape, are well-suited to measuring larger building components, steel structures and rooms.

Tips for use: hook the magnetic clip onto a stable steel element before extending the tape to obtain an accurate reference point. Please note that the reverse brake locks the tape automatically once it has been extended — use the button to release it, controlling the retraction speed.
