Product description
The enlarged washer to DIN 9021 is a flat fastener designed for bolted joints where a larger contact area is required than that provided by a standard DIN 125 washer. Its increased outer diameter allows the pressure from the bolt or nut to be distributed more evenly across the material being fastened.
The washer is particularly well suited to fastening components made of materials with lower resistance to deformation, such as wood, plastics, thin sheet metal, furniture boards or insulation materials. It reduces the risk of localised indentation and surface damage when tightening the joint.
The product is made of steel and has a zinc coating. The zinc coating provides basic protection against corrosion under typical conditions of use. The washer is compatible with screws, nuts and threaded rods of the appropriate metric size.
Variants available from M4 to M30 allow the washer to be selected for a wide range of assembly, construction, workshop and industrial applications.

Dimensions are given in millimetres in accordance with the table attached to the product.d1 denotes the hole diameter,d2 the outer diameter of the washer, and h the thickness. For the M22 variant, the manufacturer specifies a hole diameter of 23 / 24 mm.
