Product description
The flat round washer to DIN 440 is a fastener with an enlarged outer diameter, designed primarily for screw connections in timber structures. The large bearing surface evenly distributes the pressure exerted by the screw head or nut.
Compared to a standard flat washer, the DIN 440 washer provides better protection for soft and deformable materials against localised indentation. It is particularly suitable for joints in structural timber, wood-based panels, beams, roof truss components and other fastenings requiring an increased contact area.
The product is made of steel and has a zinc coating. The zinc coating provides basic protection against corrosion under typical conditions of use. The washer is designed for use with bolts, nuts and threaded rods of a compatible metric size.
Variants available from M4 to M30 allow the washer to be selected for various connection diameters used in building, joinery, assembly and structural work.
